New extended hours for museums and archaeological sites

ΑStatement by Culture and Tourism minister Mr. Pavlos Geroulanos about new extended visiting hours of the following museums and archaeological sites in Greece:

The Acropolis of Athens will be open from 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. all over the year. For the first time, the extension of the opening hours of this monument became possible through staff transfers from other fields of the public sector. Now, we have all personnel required for the Acropolis to be open for visitors as much as possible, an arrangement we have been seeking for a long time and managed to achieve, according to our initial promise.

New extended hours for museums and archaeological sites:

  2. Byzantine Culture Museum of Thessaloniki (8.00-20.00, Monday 13.30-20.00)
  3. Thessaloniki Archaeological Museum (8.00-20.00)
  4. Philippi – Archaeological Site (8.00-20.00)
  5. Drama Archaeological Museum (8.00-20.00)
  6. Church of Panagia Kosmosotira (People Saving Virgin Mary)
  7. Grevena Archaeological Collection (Monday closed, Tuesday – Friday

      8.30-15.00, Saturday - Sunday 8.30-18.00).

  9. Arta Archaeological Museum (8:30-17:00, Monday closed)
